Privacy Policy

Effective date: 15 April 2026.

Tikski is built with a simple principle: your checklist data should stay useful, private, and under your control. This policy explains what may be collected through the website and app, why it is used, and what choices you have.

What Tikski stores

For the core app experience, checklist data is designed to live on your device first. That can include:

  • checklist names
  • tasks and sub-tasks
  • notes you add to tasks
  • completion status and timestamps
  • basic app preferences such as theme or text size

Sync data

If sync is enabled for your account or device, Tikski sends checklist data to Tikski-operated servers so your information can stay up to date across devices. Synced data is encrypted in transit and handled on servers controlled for Tikski service operation. That data is used only to provide sync and related account functionality and is not sold to third parties.

Security

Tikski is designed with practical safeguards matched to the service. This includes encrypted transport for synced data, controlled server access, and operational practices aimed at reducing unauthorised access, misuse, or disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but protecting user data is treated as a product requirement, not a nice-to-have.

Website data

The Tikski website is a simple informational site. It may receive basic technical information that is normally sent when you visit any website, such as:

  • IP address
  • browser and device information
  • requested pages
  • time and date of requests

This information may appear in routine server logs for security, performance, and troubleshooting.

Cookies and tracking

The website does not intentionally use advertising trackers or sell behavioural data. If that changes later, this policy should be updated before those tools are used.

App stores and third parties

If you download Tikski through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another software distributor, that store may collect information under its own privacy policy. Tikski does not control how those platforms handle your data.

How data is used

Information may be used to:

  • provide app features
  • sync your data between devices when enabled
  • improve reliability and fix bugs
  • protect the service from abuse or misuse
  • respond to support or privacy enquiries

Data sharing

Tikski is not built to sell your personal information. Data may only be shared when reasonably necessary to run the service, comply with legal obligations, or protect the service and its users.

Your choices

You choose what to store in your lists. If you do not want cloud sync, use Tikski in local-only mode whenever that option is available.

You can also choose whether to use store-distributed builds, direct desktop downloads, or local-only workflows where supported.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change as the product evolves. When it changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
